Privacy-first by design. SubWise is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs to you, not us. All subscription and bill data you enter is stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal financial information. We do not sell your data. Ever.
This Privacy Policy explains how SubWise ("we", "our", "us"), developed by CipherNest Technology, handles information when you use the SubWise mobile application on iOS or Android.
By using SubWise, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the app.
Everything you enter in SubWise lives on your device in an encrypted local database. This includes:

Since your personal financial data never leaves your device, we cannot and do not use it for any purpose. The limited anonymous data processed by our third-party partners (described below) is used solely for:

SubWise uses RevenueCat to manage Premium subscriptions (SubWise Pro). When you purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat processes the transaction receipt from the App Store or Google Play to validate your entitlement.
RevenueCat may collect: device identifiers, App Store/Google Play purchase tokens, and subscription status. This data is used exclusively for payment processing and entitlement management.

SubWise uses Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) to automatically detect app crashes and send anonymous crash reports. These reports help us fix bugs faster.
Crash reports include: device model, OS version, app version, stack trace, and a randomly generated installation ID. No personal or financial data is included in crash reports.
You can opt out of crash reporting in Settings → Privacy → Crash Reports.

SubWise uses Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, which screens are most visited or which features drive engagement. All analytics data is anonymous and aggregated.
We do not log or track what subscriptions you add, your amounts, or any financial content.
You can opt out of analytics in Settings → Privacy → Analytics.
⚠️ No other third-party SDKs are included. SubWise contains no advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or data brokers.
Your financial data (subscriptions, bills, payments) is retained on your device for as long as you use the app. You are in full control:
For RevenueCat purchase records, retention is governed by RevenueCat's data policy. For Firebase crash/analytics data, Google retains anonymized data per their standard retention periods (typically 14 months for Analytics).

Our legal basis for processing the limited data described in this policy is legitimate interest (crash reporting, analytics) and contract performance (RevenueCat payment validation).

SubWise is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. SubWise is rated for users aged 18+ as a financial management tool.
